UEFS Press was created on 31 January 2002 by the University’s istrative Council as a supplementary body to the Rectorate for the development of UEFS publishing policies and processes. A member of ABEU (the Brazilian Association of University Publishing Houses) and EULAC (the Association of University Publishing Houses in Latin America and the Caribbean), UEFS Press prioritises the publication of original technical-scientific, cultural and children’s works, the result of research by teachers, students and the institution’s istrative staff. Currently with more than 300 books published, UEFS Press has consolidated its position as a strategic body within the university by promoting and disseminating the results of scientific research, concretising and delivering “doing science” to society, in a continuous commitment to the quality of what is produced and the improvement of publishing practices. 5d2l2k
